Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
The PTA (Parent Teacher Association) has a very important role in the academy life. The PTA is made up of busy parents who volunteer their time to organise various events to raise money for the school to provide books, equipment, outdoor activities for the academy and our children. Past events have included fayres, competitions, discos, raffles, cake sales and very successful and enjoyable colour runs. The PTA also contribute to school events such as author visits, the literature festival and theatre visits.
This year we have an amazing new committee and lots more parents are getting involved, which means we can create more exciting (and new!) events for the children to enjoy as well as raising money for our academy.
We would like to raise enough money for an outdoor area, more iPads, books and a sensory room. We aim to beat each year’s target, the 2023-2024 target is therefore to reach above £6.5k. The PTA update parents and carers on this target with a newsletter at the end of terms 2, 4 and 6.
The PTA is successful thanks to the parents and carers of the whole academy and are grateful for voluntary support during events and the kind contributions and donations, which we request throughout the year.
