Highnam Church Of England Primary Academy

On Thursday afternoon our Year 6 pupils were surprised with the news they would be visiting Gloucester Ski Centre for a day of skiing. A number of the pupils hadn't skied before and were keen to get kitted up and to start their first lesson. The team of instructors were superb - supporting those who had skied before and helping those who hadn't worn boots or skis before. Following lunch the pupils enjoyed a second session on the slopes and this time even got to try out the ski lift. This is what some of the pupils had to say... "I thoroughly enjoyed the day. The best bit was trying our the ski lift. It was quite tricky!" commented Lola. "Going on the big slope was the best bit for me," reported Taylan, "I'd love to go skiing again soon!"
