This was Esther's final day in Highnam Academy. The morning began with a fantastic Collective Worship where Esther shared the gifts she brought from Kenya for the school. The whole school enjoyed the Kenyan dance and were wowed by the large Kenyan flag. Miss Read even modelled a traditional Kenyan outfit.
In the afternoon the pupils in Years 5 and 6 shared their completed fairy tales for the pupils in Ngarenero Primary School. There was time for a few photos and a final meal with Mr Dean.
It has been great to spend time with Esther over the past week and to share our teaching methods with her, Esther thoroughly enjoyed meeting the pupils and staff over the past 10 days and is looking forward to developing the partnership further.
