The £10 Challenge

At the start of the autumn term Mrs Parsons issued a challenge to each class. From a start-up fund of £10 they were asked to use their initiative, talent and skill to make this money grow. Any profit made could be used to puchase something for their classroom. Over the term we have seen a wonderful array of money-making ideas from skateboard lessons, Christmas cards, to a film night. Balance spreadsheets have been drawn up and the pupils have gained a real understanding of enterprise, effort and profit margins.

Here are the top 3 performing classes:

  1. Mr Dean's class      £150.85 

  2. Mr Tibbles' class    £109.85

  3. Mrs Ruxton's class £ 98.25

All the classes enjoyed the challenge and look forward to spending the money they have raised. Over £500 was raised across the 7 classes so a BIG thank you to everyone who supported the challenge.
