Super Tag Rugby Festival at Highnam Academy
Today Highnam hosted the annual Year 3/4 Tag Rugby Festival. This year Hempsted and Staunton and Corse were invited to enter the competition. It was a windy yet dry afternoon but the pupils didn't mind and carried on to play some excellent rugby. It was great to see some individual skill but also a number of very good team tries.
After the group stage, the final was held between Highnam A and Hempsted A. After a close game Hempsted won 7-5.
In the third/fourth playoff Highnam B played Hempsted B, after a tight game it was 7-7 all going into the final minute but a super passing move ended up with Own scoring the winning try.
