Kenya Shoe Appeal launched

Today we welcomed into school Wayne and Sarah, soldiers from the British Army based an the Injim Barracks in Churchdown. They came into our assembly to promote the charity 'Boots for Kenya'. We were shown a short presentation about the country of Kenya, about the big five animals, the capital of Kenya Nairobi and how the chairty started. Four volunteers got to try on examples of normal Kenyan footware, plimsols, tyre shoes and bottle shoes, they weren't very comfortable and were also extremely noisy.

There is now a box in the Reception foyer for all old football boots, trainers, gymn shoes and school shoes.
