Harvest at Highnam Academy
On the 12th October, Highnam C of E Primary Academy joined with family, friends and Rev. Sandra to hold a Harvest Festival. In the morning many pupils brought into school some wonderful baskets packed with vegetables, fruit and freshly baked loaves. During the service different pupils read poems, shared prayers and sang harvest songs. This year the Academy supported two charities: Pied Piper and the Gloucester Food Bank.
In the afternoon the Year Six held the annual harvest sale. Each pupil was given a table to be responsible for. Class by class pupils came into the hall to buy produce which had been kindly donated to raise money for two local charities.
