Comic Relief Talent Show

Pupils from Highnam Primary School supported Comic Relief today by wearing non uniform and taking part in a talent show. There was a wonderful array of talent on display from the youngest in the school through to the oldest. Some pupils from the Reception class performed a duck dance, in Year One and Two we had a mixture of joke telling, singing and magic tricks. In Key Stage Two we saw some musical talent with the drums, guitar, flute, clarinet and piano being played. There were also a number of funny sketches and dances. The show was rounded off by Mr Tibbles, Mrs House and Miss Cole who played the Status Quo classic 'Rockin' All Over the World'. By this time the hall was rocking and we had enjoyed a fabulous show.

Bethany T organised a 'guess the bear competition' and a cake sale was arranged by Rebecca H and Teagan. The grand total was about £355! The School Council, decided on behalf of the school, to split the money raised between Comic Relief and the Japanese Tsunami Appeal.

Thank you for supporting this event and to all the pupils who contributed to the day.

Here are some photos from the day:

A special well done to Grace, Lucy and William for raising £40 from a cake sale in Churcham on Saturday

and to Lily and Chloe who sat in a bath of jelly for an hour and rasied £35.
