3rd Place at Cotswold Athletics Festival
Highnam Academy took part in the annual athletics festival at the Prince of Wales stadium on Saturday 18th June. Pupils in Year 3 to Year 6 represented the school in a variety of track and field events. First up were the sprints, followed by the longer track events. Next pupils took part in the throwing and jumping events. The final action was back on the track with the relays.
Well done to James in Year 2 for helping out the Year 3 relay team this year. Congratulations to all the pupils who took part in the various events.
At the end of the morning the results were announced. Highnam was 3rd overall and Jess and Luke went up to collect the trophy on behalf of the all the Highnam pupils. Well done to Woodchester school who were 2nd and Tewkesbury school who were 1st.
